My Gear

I'm a Squire of Music

This Telecaster Affinity series has a magical quality to it; it just feels right in my hands. Some Slash rock rhythm with a coil-split, a punchy Chilli middle, and a buttersmooth 3-way Hydra Tele neck. Made to come together through a mad scientist’s wiring scheme —I’m in love.

That Low Harley Rumble

When going low, I like it lightweight; this Harley Benton packs a punch and plays like a superstar. Also, these Fender Jazzy little wonders take it to a whole new level. Slapping and growling—anything you desire, and more.

Keys with Soul & Passion

I sought something that played like a real piano, and the 88 Velocity sensitive, weighted keys with hammer action on this one are fantastic. It just feels right when paired with a great piano vst.

Right Key at the Right Time

Sometimes you just want to play a quick chord or melody, and you need a tool close by. This mini 25-key keyboard has been a faithful companion of mine for the majority of the time when I am struck by spontaneous inspiration.

Your Voice is the Centerpiece

"A voice is like a fingerprint. Nobody else has the same voice as you, and a microphone is like a fingerprint for that voice."

-Bob Dylan

This microphone produces a very clear and detailed sound. I recommend experimenting with some vintage tubes for added "magic."

It's Time to Party in the Studio

The best-feeling knobs I've ever experienced on a MIDI controller. These ones light up like a Christmas tree for an added "Umph." They are also clickable, allowing you to change patterns or perform other bizarre MIDI functions.

Tiny but Mighty

For me, this is the best finger drumming machine. It feels great to the touch, and the drumming squares can be programmed to be different sizes. It can also be used for chord playing and midi control, but the best use is for finger drumming, imho. +1 one for the light show!

Make Music Speak

These stunning Yamaha speakers are not only pleasing to the eye, but also to the ears. Clean and balanced - I've grown accustomed to their sound and am not looking for upgrades. Satisfaction. It's a match made in Heaven when paired with this fantastic subwoofer.

It's All in my Head

When mastering, I find that good quality headphones can provide you with a much needed second prespective. The bass isn't the best on these, but the mids and highs are well-balanced and neutral. It can reveal a great deal of nuance and detail.

Heart of the Studio

Despite the fact that I should probably clean it, the pristine sound this audio interface produces is world class. SSL engineers are experts in their field. Although the 4K function may be considered a gimmick, these -130.5 dBu mic preamps sound perfect to my ears when clean.
